April 17th, 2011 (Rockford, IL) - Season opener for the Mid-American Stock Car Series began at Rockford Speedway located in Loves Park, IL.

Paige's new Mid-Am car for the season handled very well in the first practice. Unfortunately her car had engine problems in the second practice. The crew worked hard replacing the intake gaskets which they thought would fix the problem but it did not and the car was done for the day.

Kyle Shear then offered his car to Paige. She drove his car for Qualifying, Heat Race 1 and the Last Chance race. However Paige opted not to race Kyle's car in the feature. Paige and Decker Racing would like to thank Shear Racing for the opportunity to drive their car.

Claire will be racing the complete Mid-American season this year along with Paige. Claire's Mid-Am car also handled very well in practice. Claire took a 4th in the Heat 1 race and 6th in the Last Chance race. The handling in Claire's car was a bit off so she was not able to make the Feature. It was great to see everyone again and the race season has officially begun!
